ICE agrees to acquire Chicago Stock Exchange

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has entered into an agreement to acquire the Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX).
ICE will acquire CHX鈥檚 trading, data and corporate listings services.
The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2018, subject to regulatory approvals.
Subject to the 色花堂and Exchange Commission鈥檚 approval, CHX will continue to operate as a registered national securities exchange and will, according to ICE, benefit from the planned deployment of the New York Stock Exchange鈥檚 platform Pillar.
NYSE Pillar is a trading technology platform used in ICE鈥檚 Chicago data center.
It will also provide additional functionality for the institutional equity brokerage community in Chicago.
