Dorenbush departs Scotiabank

Daniel Dorenbush has confirmed his departure from Scotiabank.
He leaves the company as managing director and global head of Prime Brokerage after 11 years with the firm.
In an online post announcing his departure, Dorenbush wished the firm well 鈥渨ith the transition it is going through鈥, and that he would move onto 鈥渘ew endeavours鈥.
He continued: 鈥淚 am grateful to have had the opportunity to lead the Canadian Prime Services business and the Global Prime Brokerage business for a high-quality organisation, and to have been immersed in the firm鈥檚 recruiting and mentorship programmes 鈥 which provided me with a great sense of fulfilment.鈥
During his time at Scotiabank, Dorenbush says he represented the firm through several industry and community organisations, such as United Way, the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), and Women in Capital Markets.
He joined Scotiabank in 2013 from Waratah Capital Advisors, where he spent two years as head of business development.
Earlier in his career, Dorenbush worked for Merlin 色花堂(since acquired by Wells Fargo) and spent a decade with RBC Capital Markets.
Concluding his announcement, Dorenbush said: 鈥淚 am looking forward to the next professional chapter and doing what I enjoy most: building high-performing teams, growing client relationships and enhancing business capabilities to drive financial results within the investment dealer, investor and asset management space.鈥
