Pirum hires Messina to North American team

Pirum has appointed Gary Messina as associate director of sales origination to drive the firm鈥檚 client growth.
Based in New York, he will report locally to Matthew Lilien, North America head of sales.
Messina joins Pirum from his previous position as vice president in client relationship management at EquiLend.
Prior to this, he worked at Citibank as an agency lending trader. Messina has also worked in various support roles throughout his career in securities finance.
Commenting on the appointment, Lilien says: 鈥淛oining our North American sales team, Gary will help further accelerate Pirum鈥檚 origination efforts and expand our client coverage footprint across our domestic suite of products, with an immediate focus on helping clients navigate pending market and regulatory changes including the move to T+1 settlement.鈥�
